Folkways is always in need of volunteers for our upcoming events. Whether you help us tend fires, set up chairs, hand out flyers, greet visitors, or collect wishes, you are a valuable and integral part of our community ecosystem.

Red River Market Roles:

Market Set-Up: Help us plant the seeds of a perfect market day! You’ll assist in setting out patio furniture, arranging signage, and getting everything ready to welcome our community.

Market Tear-Down: As the day’s bounty is gathered, you’ll help pack away the market’s treasures. Your hands will help collect furniture, signs, and all the tools that made the market bloom.

Market Ambassador: Be the friendly face of the market, floating from vendor to vendor like a busy bee. You’ll check in with our farmers, artisans, and visitors, making sure everyone has what they need for a fruitful day.

Cooking Demo Assistant: Lend a hand to our culinary artist as they whip up delicious samples. You’ll help prepare and share these tasty treats with eager market-goers, showcasing the best of our local ingredients.

Photobooth Assistant: Help capture the magic of market day! Assist with setting up shots and collecting emails from visitors.

Astro Assembly Team: Be part of assembling the galactic spectacle, making sure everything is set for the big event.

Wild West Snapshot Wrangler: Assist guests with props, guide them through the photobooth, and ensure they leave with a picture-perfect memory of their galactic rodeo adventure.

Popcorn Palooza: Assist with serving fresh, buttery popcorn, ensuring everyone has a tasty snack for the rodeo.

Cotton Candy Station: Help prepare and serve cotton candy, offering guests a sugary treat straight from the stars.

Cosmic Clean-Up Crew: Help clear the space after the event, leaving no trace of galactic chaos behind!

Game Assistant: Help facilitate interactive games and activities, ensuring guests have a fun and engaging experience. (More details to come as experiences are finalized!)

DIY Assistant: Assist with hands-on craft or creative activities. (More details to come as experiences are determined!)

Next Night Bazaar: March 27th, 2025. Theme is Galactic Rodeo!

Build Week Helper: Help transform the Civic Center into a festive winter wonderland, adding touches of holiday magic everywhere.

Outdoor Truck Photographer: Capture memorable moments for attendees in front of our classic vintage red truck, making sure everyone leaves with a special keepsake.

Fire Tender: Keep the Solo Stoves in our outdoor winter wonderland burning bright for guests to gather around and roast s'mores. Ensure everyone stays cozy by the fire.

Santa's Assistant: Assist the photographer by organizing families and making sure everyone is ready to meet Santa, ensuring a smooth and magical experience.

Yule-Tide Tidy Crew: Hang out in the Bier Hall, keeping tables clean and chatting with guests. Help maintain a welcoming and festive atmosphere for all.

Tear Down Elf: As the festivities come to a close, help pack up the winter wonderland. Collect decorations, dismantle setups, and make sure everything is safely stored away—just like a helpful elf at the end of the holiday season!

Volunteer sign-ups for Christkindlmarkt are currently closed. Opportunities to join the team will open closer to the event in November. Check back then to get involved and help bring the holiday magic to life!
